Visitors have a host of options available for traveling to Aspen.
Transportation
With four airports in close proximity, Aspen Snowmass is highly accessible by air.
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE)
Located just three miles from downtown Aspen and six miles from Snowmass Village, ASE is a traveler’s most conviennent option—especially when taking advantage of our free Gant Van transport. Serviced by American Airlines and United Airlines. Call 970-925-5000 to request a ride.
Denver International Airport (DEN)
The Rocky Mountain region’s largest and most active airport, DEN sees more than 1,500 daily flights from 25 airlines. Located 220 miles from Aspen Snowmass. Guests flying into Denver can arrange their own ground transportation up to Aspen.

- Take Interstate-70, WEST to exit #116 in Glenwood Springs
- From Glenwood Springs, take Hwy 82 to Aspen
- Follow Hwy 82 all the way through Aspen to the 4-way stop sign
- Go through the stop sign one block and take a LEFT onto Durant Street
- Go one block and take a RIGHT on to West End Street
- Follow West End Street until it dead ends where you will see a sign for The Gant
- Take a LEFT into The Gant’s main driveway, immediately followed by a RIGHT into the circle driveway where you will find the lobby
Via Independence Pass
- Take Interstate-70 WEST
- Take exit #195 for Copper Mountain/Leadville, Hwy 91
- Head south on Hwy 91 for 22 miles where the road will become US-24
- Follow US-24 through downtown Leadville. *Please note this is the last place to get gas or food before Aspen
- Follow US-24 for approximately 14 miles
- Turn RIGHT onto CO-82 (there is a small sign for Aspen)
- Follow CO-82 for 43 miles (through Twin Lakes and over Independence Pass)
- CO-82 takes you right into Aspen. At the first stop sign in Aspen, turn LEFT onto Original Street
- Go one block and take a LEFT onto Durant Street
- Go one block and take a RIGHT onto West End Street
- Follow West End Street until it dead ends where you will see a sign for The Gant
- Take a LEFT into the Gant’s main driveway, immediately followed by a RIGHT in the circle driveway where you will find the lobby
Eagle Regional Airport (EGE)
Located 70 miles from Aspen Snowmass and serviced by three airlines. Offers nonstop flights from 14 major cities in the winter.

- From Glenwood Springs, take Hwy 82 to Aspen

Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT)
Located 130 miles from Aspen Snowmass. Offers nonstop flights from select cities in the region, and frequent connecting flights from cities across the country.

Guests traveling through the Aspen Airport can take advantage of our complimentary Gant Van service for airport transit. Call 970-925-5000 upon landing at The Aspen Airport to request a ride. (Note that group transfers from the Aspen Airport may not be available. Please inquire with your group sales manager.)

Amtrak
Service to Glenwood Springs, 40 miles from Aspen. From there, High Mountain Taxi can take you to and from Aspen.

RFTA, or Roaring Fork Transportation Authority, offers free buses throughout Aspen, to/from the Aspen airport and between all four mountains - Aspen, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass.
