From Boulder to Los Angeles by way of Aspen...
After visiting my sister in Boulder we decided on our drive back to Los Angeles to stop in Aspen. We had no reservations and decided to stop by the Gant to check their availabiblity. They were so accomodating and the staff were the nicest and most genuine that I have ever encountered. We bonded with the bellboy who had just finished college and was working in Aspen until he figured out what he wanted to do. My husband had a similar experience and let him know that it took him 5 years after graduating that he wanted to go to Medical School. We enjoyed the close proximity to the shops and restaurants. My husband and 3 year old son also loved the pool and hot tub. Our room was one of the nicest in the complex and we felt very much at home in it. We will definately be coming back to The Gant in the future. My son still asks if we can go back to the hotel that had the apples.

Aspen Snowmass Jazz 2007
Aspen Snowmass Jazz was the best ever largely in part because I had the rare opportunity to stay at the Gant with both of my adult children. We had a BEAUTIFUL condo that easily could accommodate all of us. The weather was perfect and the setting was very Colorado!

Surprise Encounter With Young Deer, Ute Trail, Aspen, June 2008
With our two adult children living out of state, one in college in California and the other working in Boston, it's a rare occasion when our family of four can get-together in Colorado. We've chosen to stay at The Gant for several of our special reunions, and our experiences have always been wonderful. But one morning this past June, while my daughter and I were hiking up the Ute Trail (the trailhead is just behind The Gant and goes up Ajax Mountain), we were thrilled to encounter a young deer coming up the trail. I held my breath as I took several pictures. This picture is one of my favorites and captures one of those beautiful moments neither of us will ever forget.
