I am really excited for the afro-Caribbean-barnyard-funk band playing on October 25^th.  Their name is Euforquestra and they are known for igniting the dance floor!  The first time I ever saw them at Belly Up they were an up-and-coming band and played a free show.  I left that concert thoroughly exhausted (from dancing, of course) and thinking two things:  1) That band totally rocked and 2) I can’t believe that was a free show!  Now, they are back in Aspen three years later with hundreds of more shows under their belt and still playing for a mere $10.  Personally, this is a show that I will be sure not to miss!  

Finally, Danger Kitty’s Highway to Hell Halloween Party on October 31^st may just be one of the most entertaining and exciting nights of the year.  Halloween in Aspen, Colorado is comparable to New Year’s Eve, Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day all wrapped up into one giant celebration.  Because most Aspen locals are working during the major holidays, we make up for it by celebrating BIG on Halloween!  And the 80’s hair band tribute group, Danger Kitty, at the Belly Up is going to be just that kind of celebration.  Not only will people be rocking out to famous 80’s music, but there will also be a costume party with prizes and people from all over the valley coming to Aspen to join in the festivities.  This definitely has the potential to be one of the best Halloween celebrations to date!
