Balloon Time in the Mountains

It's hot air balloon time in Aspen-Snowmass, a time that never fails to inspire! There were about 15 hot air balloons taking off this morning in anticipation of this weekend's 34th annual Snowmass Balloon Festival.  Snowmass Village will also host the 2009 Snowmass Wine Festival this weekend with wine, food, music and more.  Details about both events can be found on our Calendar of Events page.

The Changing of the Seasons

The summer season is coming to an end as Autumn officially begins on September 22.  Around town, the aspen trees are starting to turn to their beautiful shades of gold and thoughts of winter, and the holidays, are beginning to enter our minds.   One sure sign that the seasons are changing is the mountain peak snowfall that occurred over this past weekend.  As a matter of fact, the snow is falling in the peaks today.  The changing of the seasons is a magical time in Aspen and we would love to share its beauty with you.

If you are planning on visiting Aspen this fall, during the holiday season, or are interested in getting some early season skiing in, we have some great special offers available to you.  Our Fall Special, Hassle Free Thanksgiving, Tis the Season for a Special, and Fall Snow Saver will help you save money on your Aspen vacation.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Aspen summer to remember

The last week in June my family, husband Andy, our 11 yr-old son Max, and 9 yr-old daughter Sophie, and I had an awesome vacation in Aspen. We rented a two bedroom condo at The Gant and our accommodations helped make this our best family vacation ever. The kids loved all the room they had to spread out and I loved the beautiful, rustic decor and oh-so-comfy king size bed. Late each afternoon we would head down to the salt water pool and the kids would have a blast. The Gant's location was so convenient to downtown Aspen and all the happenings and we stopped at the market several times to grab munchies, etc. One night we bought a frozen cherry pie and ice cream and actually had the best dessert of our vacation right in our own condo! The friendly staff really helped make the trip so much fun. The shuttle drivers always had good info on restaurants to try and the concierge booked awesome jeep and horseback riding excursions The kids had never been to Aspen but now they want to make it an annual summer trip and you can bet we will stay at The Gant, as well. Thanks so much for making this vacation one the Baron's will never forget. Fondly, Shari Baron
