Stay here if you: are traveling with family or a group and are looking for a condo where you can cook and really settle in.

It's close to: the west end of town.

The rooms are: large, beautifully decorated and invite living, rather than merely staying. Each unit is decorated differently, but expect things such as oversized plasma TVs with surround sound and DVD/VCRs, sectional couches and leather rocking chairs with ottomans, game-night tables (check the dining-room hutch for games) that feature rolling chairs that tuck away beneath and fireplaces. Fully stocked kitchens offer top-of-the-line refrigerators and dishwashers, and the two-bath units have one tub and one roomy walk-in shower with seat. The unbelievably comfortable beds are covered with plush linens. Sliding doors in each room let in the cool breezes from the surrounding trees (the property sits at the edge of town, so there is no traffic noise), and there's a nice-sized balcony off the living room with comfy cushioned furniture.

The bottom line: In addition to the terrific accommodations, the Gant has two beautifully situated, foliage-lined swimming pools with hot tubs, a nice fitness center and tennis courts. The operators will shuttle you anywhere in town, and the City Market is about a five-minute walk. The staff also goes out of its way to assist when you have needs.
