Day 1 of The Gant's 21 Day Green Challenge
Greetings from Aspen! Today marks day 1 of The Gant's 21 Day Green Challenge. Our employees have made a commitment to say no to single-use plastic bottles, plastic bags, foam or plastic to-go containers. We know it will be hard but we are excited to embark on a challenge so important to our environment! Do you have any great "green" tips?

Where do I recycle? As our guests you may participate in our resort-wide recycling program. Co-mingled bins are located around our property. They can be used for glass, aluminum, and plastics # 1-7! You may also separate your cardboard, newspapers, and magazines to be picked up and recycled by our housekeeping team.
How can I conserve water, waste, and electricity? As our guests you may partake in our linen re-use program, saving water, energy and waste. If you would like to reuse your bath towels, please hang them neatly on the towel rack. If you would like fresh towels, place the used ones on the floor. Our housekeeping team preserves water by changing bed sheets every third day unless otherwise requested.
Going shopping? Our local, welcoming grocery store, the City Market, charges per plastic grocery bag so please ask the front desk and bell staff for reusable bags to take to the store. You are welcome to use them for retail shopping as well.
How can I get around town? The Gant offers transportation to and from the airport as well as throughout Aspen to limit private transport and advocate carpooling. If you are going into town, please come to the lobby for a ride into town. If you need a pickup in town, please call the Gant with the phone number listed on the back of your room key. If you need to get to Buttermilk, Highlands or Snowmass, please use RFTA, Aspen’s fantastic public, and free, bus system. If you would like to stretch your legs and take a short walk into town, the front desk will be happy to give you directions. And remember to please tag along with Aspen’s no idling policy in all parking areas and roads.
